Our Vision – Where Are We Heading?

Our vision for sustainability is to run a hotel business that handles natural resources responsibly, lives up to social responsibility, and delivers top quality at the same time. We aim to inspire our guests, employees, and partners to walk a mindful, conscious, and future-oriented path together – in harmony with the environment, the region, and humanity. Sustainability should be tangible, experienceable, and effective – today and for future generations.

Arrive, pause, be! Not higher, faster, further – but slower, more mindful, more natural.

Strategic Fields of Action

Sustainability is not a trend for us – it is a fundamental principle of how we think and act. As hosts, we bear responsibility – toward the environment, the region, our employees, and above all, our guests. We strive to balance economic success, social responsibility, and ecological mindfulness to create a meaningful and sustainable form of tourism.

 

Guests

Our guests are at the center of everything we do – including in terms of sustainability. We don’t just want to inform, we want to invite participation. Sustainable actions and values should be visible, understandable, and experienceable for our guests. Authentic, positive, and transparent communication is especially important to us. This happens on multiple levels: via our website, printed materials on-site, or through direct conversations. Our goal is to raise awareness of sustainable topics, inspire guests, and provide practical impulses for living more consciously in everyday life. Communication on these topics is also part of our marketing – it underlines our commitment and makes our values as a business tangible.

 

Resources and Waste

Careful and thoughtful use of resources is a matter of course for us. Our building has been extensively modernized and energy-optimized in recent years to meet the latest standards. We consistently rely on renewable energy, generate electricity through our own photovoltaic system, and source heat from the local district heating network. Through modern control systems – especially in lighting – and the use of efficient equipment, such as in our kitchen, we successfully reduce energy consumption. We consciously avoid unnecessary lighting and only use essential light sources. We’ve also implemented targeted measures to minimize water consumption. Additionally, we aim to prevent waste from the outset, promote waste separation, and use goods efficiently. Environmental and biodiversity protection are central to our daily operations.

 

Conscious Purchasing

Our purchasing follows a clear sustainability philosophy. We prioritize regional and seasonal products – not only in the kitchen, but also in the spa. We choose our suppliers consciously, with attention to quality, environmental compatibility, and social responsibility. Whenever possible, we use eco-friendly cleaning products and buy in bulk to reduce packaging waste and transportation. This sustainability focus applies to everything from food and beverages to construction materials and consumables. By doing so, we support the regional economy and minimize our ecological footprint.

 

Mobility

Mobility is a key aspect of our sustainability approach. We reduce transportation and traffic emissions by optimizing delivery processes. At the same time, we offer our guests attractive alternatives for travel and local transport. The guest card includes free use of public transport, enabling car-free holidays. We also offer e-bike rentals, allowing guests to explore the area in an environmentally friendly way. On-site EV charging stations further support sustainable travel options.

 

Employees

Our employees are the backbone of our hotel. We create a work environment based on mutual appreciation, security, and trust. Everyone in the team is involved in decision-making and development processes. We foster team spirit through targeted initiatives, maintain an open communication culture, and ensure fair working conditions. We strictly adhere to human rights and labor laws and take additional measures to ensure a healthy, safe, and motivating workplace.

 

Quality

To us, quality means class over quantity. We do not cater to people seeking to go higher, faster, and further – but to those who want to arrive, linger, and consciously enjoy. For us, quality is closely tied to authenticity, hospitality, and mindfulness. We celebrate regional culture, integrate local architecture, art, and cuisine into our offering, and make sociocultural aspects of our region visible. Our goal is to offer guests a high-quality, nature-connected, and meaningful holiday experience. We are continuously working on improvement – not only economically, but especially in terms of quality. To that end, we’ve implemented internal processes for quality assurance and sustainable development, which help us continuously reflect and enhance our services.
